King's Field: The Ancient City marks the long-running series' debut on the PlayStation 2. Because the third title in the series concluded the original story arc, this latest incarnation features an all-new storyline and characters. Since receiving a mysterious ceremonial idol, King Lucien IV and his kingdom of Heladin have suffered a string of disasters, plunging the land into decay and ruin. Numerous attempts to return the accursed idol to the Land of Disaster have ended in failure and the task now falls to you -- Prince Devian of Azalin. And so begins your quest in this first-person exploration RPG.
