Karaoke Revolution allows PlayStation 2 gamers to show off their singing skills and get real-time feedback on their performances!! It's like Dance Dance Revolution, but with singing instead of dancing. Players sing using the Logitech PS2 Headset (or other approved Playstation 2 USB microphone devices). The game rates the player's performance based on your vocal pitch and timing. A visual indicator shows the player's current pitch in real-time and also the pitch of vocals of the original song. If the original notes of the song are too high for the player's vocal range, the game allows the player to sing at higher or lower octaves to hit the correct notes. If the player sings well, the crowd gets into the performance by clapping, cheering and dancing. If the performance is bad, the audience becomes bored and the user can get booed off the stage. Crisis Zone for the PlayStation 2 is a port of the arcade game of the same name, and it is a spin-off from the Time Crisis series. In the game you are part of an elite anti-terrorist group called Special Tactical Force and you are sent to fight a terrorist group called U.R.D.A. The terrorist group has taken over an office center and wants to destroy the nuclear reactor buried deep beneath the complex. It's up to you, to stop them. The game play is like the rest of the series, where you are taking cover, trying to eliminate the enemies in a small area before a limited amount of time expires, with the time limit resetting when you finish the area and proceed to the next one. You don't control the player's movement as it is a rail shooter, meaning that your character moves in a pre-determined path, with enemies jumping in the screen to try and damage you. The third title in the long running arcade shooter series has you again ducking and weaving through a range of levels, with the ultimate aim of defeating the enemy who wishes to take over the world. Along with the return of two player action, and the duck and shoot method (duck under cover by pressing the required button, which also reloads your gun), new additions to the franchise include the ability to use multiple weapons besides the pistol and machine gun. The shotgun and grenade launcher are added to your arsenal, although ammo is fairly low for both so you must aim for the right colored enemies to gain bonus ammo, or shoot crates and pick up the items. The first Harvest Moon game for the PS2 takes a little deviance from all the other games in the series. The goal this time around is to save your town from being turned into a resort next year. The game focuses more on relationships than making money - which is the goal in all other Harvest Moon games to date. Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life is the second game in the Harvest Moon series to appear on the PS2. It is almost identical to the original GameCube version, but carries some new features, granting it the Special Edition title, as there is no regular release for this platform. The game simulates the everyday chores of farm life. When the player's character arrives in the Forget-Me-Not-Valley, he is given a tour on his new farm and starts with some seeds and a single cow. The game is divided in different chapters that end when certain requirements are met. Tasks include raising cattle and taking care of them, fishing, cooking, sowing seeds, and trading your goods with the local merchants. The player can also explore the valley and meet its inhabitants. In DDR, you play on a mat, and as arrows rise to the top of the screen, you stomp in time with the music. Grey arrows at the top of the screen indicate when to stomp. Stomp in time and you get a "Perfect!" Or a "Great!" But step incorrectly, and you get a "Boo!" or a "Almost!", And you lose life. Life is indicated as a bar at the top of the screen. Another sweat dripper from Konami, Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA features 74 different songs to dance to, an adventure mode, online play, and EyeToy support. The game includes animated dancers as well as classic music videos to accompany your dancing. A versus mode allows two people to play on two dance pads at once. The game also can interact with data from its arcade sibling. New songs can be unlocked by playing "Stellar Master" mode. This "adventure" will take you to dance through a series of alien planets. Guitar Hero 5 continues Activision's music rhythm series with an expanded lineup of 85 songs from 83 artists. While the basic format is identical to 2008's Guitar Hero: World Tour, with each song supporting a singer, drummer, lead guitar, and bass, a number of changes have been added to enhance its pick-up-and-play appeal.
