Ten years after the lone swordsman, Samanosuke, rose up against an army
of demon warriors, Nobunaga's evil campaign continues to wreak havoc
across feudal Japan. A young warrior, Jubei, returns home to find his
remote and once vibrant village in ruins, destroyed by Nobunaga's
minions. With vengeance in his heart, Jubei launches upon an epic and
magical quest, which will reveal his ultimate destiny.



Like
Samanoske before him, Jubei can absorb the souls of defeated monsters to
strengthen his weapons and armor. Monsters can be defeated either by
attacking them until their health is depleted, or by striking them at
the very instant before they hit Jubei. This will make Jubei preform an
Issen attack which destroys in a single blow. Jubei can find or buy
treasures in the first half of the game, and give these to companions he
meets, befriending them. Based on who Jubei befriends the events of the
game will change.

Jen is the girlfriend of a metal rocker named Lewis, who have both been through rough times in the past together. A strange and powerful creature attacks Lewis after a concert and runs off into the night with him, leaving Jen injured and near-death. Jen meets a short gargoyle named Scree, who informs her that while she must leave the physical plane Mortalis and accompany him to the demon plane Oblivion. The creature who kidnapped Lewis and left her for dead is an agent of Abaddon who represents Chaos and has been locked in struggle for aeons with Arella, representing Order. Kingdom Heart Re:Chain of Memories is the PS2 remake of the GBA game Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. It was initially released as a part of Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ and only later made available as a standalone game. The most important change is that the world and battles are now in full 3d, including voice acting and a full soundtrack. Basic gameplay elements such as the battle system based on cards remain identical, but with additions such as the Reaction Command from Kingdom Hearts II. There are also a number of new cutscenes and entirely new battles, such as the fight with Zexion in Reverse/Rebirth.
